I bought a used Tippmann A5 with a response trigger. I'm assuming that this is first generation but w/ upgraded internals (power tube is brass not plastic, rear velocity adjuster) The gun shoots, however:
A) Response Trigger does not work. B) The velocity keeps fluctuating (from 230-ish to 270-ish FPS)
I use a remote and the o-rings seems to be in ok shape (no leaks). It would be great if anyone can point me to a Tippmann tech here in Vegas (they dont have to be licensed or anything, just w/ Tippmann experience) and also w/ a service and parts quote, I would trully appreciate it.
I want to get back into PB'n and last weekend was a huge comeback disappointment.
It would be better if someone could just tell me what they think the problem is and fix the gun myself lol.
A guy name Brad who works at Combat Zone Paintball did all of my A-5 work...I would say go there.. He is usually there on Wed and Sat.... But call first....he is hit and miss on being there.....He use to own West Side paintball and is VERY knowledgable...

--Sorry for the late response, been out of the game since this a5 problem happened.
Brad is probably the best tippmann tech in vegas. He has built a grip of them from the ground up. He knows trick about fixing and install things that you can only learn from doing. He just helped me figure out a small baffling problem with my backup a5 today. One of those things that nobody from tech t tells you about their parts.
