I'm not gonna shoot it down till i try it. If i had it i'd play front with +350paintballs in my hopper and 350 in each pod, not to mention the air efficiency increase and the sound signature decrease.
If a renter came to a field and got a cut down version of the real game for half the price and half the pain. I think they'd be more inclined to go again and more often. Helping paintball grow, there used to be a time when everyone played paintball on the weekend. It used to be the fastest growing sport in the world in the early 2000's.
I dunno, i'm just saying that I am not going to hate it till i try it... .50cal will never over take .68. but it's just an option.
I dont know .50 is coming up strong might make it so more can play this sport. Less pain, less cost which is a main factor in most cases. It shoots nice too. and your right pete the air efficiency is sooo much better
Don't get me wrong, .50cal is NOT coming up strong. GI milsim, the company that brought the idea to the table isn't even around. Kingman is the king of .50cal at the moment, and they just jumped in to compete with GI milsim. the only gun i'd shoot .50 cal with is a drop in kit for a ego.
ya i know a few people wanting to convert there egos to .50. and its not coming up strong marker wise anymore no but give it time it will be there. I love my spyder pistol.
Then why don't they get the drop in kit already? It's currently available to buy. Spyder has their .50 cal fasta loader along with 4,000 balls in a case of formula 13 that comes with a .50 cal squeegie...
As to seans comment, in the current tournaments not it wouldn't. i could see .50 cal tournaments comming about. If everyone used .50 cal it could work.... could.... i dunno i'd but be fun change.
