Pros: It's a spool valve so it's quiet, it's cheap to buy
Cons:
-Battery life is pretty dismal -first generation weren't bolt out the back so in order to clean it you had to completely disassemble the gun to clean the bolt. -you need to buy a new trigger cause the stock one is plastic. -you need to buy a new clamping feedneck because 9 out of 10 hoppers don't fit perfectly so you hopper will fall/spin/wobble out and fall and break.
Personal Experiences: The thing about these guns when they first came out a few years ago was that they were cheap and offered the same fire power that the expensive guns offered for a fraction of the price. Because they were so cheap people that didn't really understand how to clean or work on a gun bought them. So when time cam for work to be done on the gun they didn't do it right and would end up breaking the gun. Personally the Smart Parts ION is a fun gun to shoot, i really like shooting them. BUT it takes patience to work on them.
Rating: 4/10 Save your money and buy something else.
Here is a video of one of my old IONs at 17bps with the eyes off.
